50% Cabernet, 50%
Merlot
Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois 2009 tasting in London.
The Poitevin 2009 has good fruit intensity and definition on the nose with ripe
blackcurrant, bilberry and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy
tannins, a littl e dry but with some nice savoury notes towards the finish.
Fine. Tasted September 2011. NEIL MARTIN, Robert
Parker
Grown
in the Northern Medoc and made of a blend almost 50:50 Cabernet Merlot this is a
great example of the great quality of Cabernet, a wine that is pure ripe and
fresh now yet with enough stuffing that it will age very well over the next 10 years plus. Definately, one
to buy by the case, one case for drinking now and one case to hide away and
forget about for a number of years. ALEX, Prince Wine
