From volcanic soils around Seville in the upper Yarra Valley, this is a
refined, concentrated and beautiful struck chardonnay in the modern style.
There's a good dose of winemaking on the nose, flinty minerals and savoury
complexity, all supported by pristine, sherbert-like lemon and peach fruits. The
palate's lithe, juicy and harmonious, with restrained peach and peach-skin
flavours, lemon butter, hazelnuts, fresh pastry and honeysuckle all finely
layered throughout. Stylish wine.
