Wine & Spirit Education Trust - Advanced Course
The Advanced Certificate qualification is designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines and spirits of the world and their commercial importance in the world's liquor market. The qualification will assist those who are required to make professional evaluations of wines and spirits with regard to their commercial value. The qualification also provides an in-depth product knowledge required to underpin job skills and competencies, such as those required in product selection in the retail and hospitality sectors.

Holders of the WSET level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits will be able to describe the characteristics of the principle wines and spirits of the world and give information on the key factors influencing style, quality and value. The course is very suitable for people who are not employed within the drinks industry but wish to learn more about the subject. It is important that potential students appreciate that this is primarily a professional development course for the drinks industry and is approached in that way by our tutors.  It is recommended that students complete level two before starting level three, although other industry experience can be taken into consideration. .
