I was very pleased with my tastings of the 2015s from bottle. So many wines were more convincing than they were from barrel, showing once again that trying to understand the quality and potential of wines that are six months old when they are presented during the en primeur campaign is at best an inexact science. Specifically, I was impressed by how much freshness and structure the 2015s show today. Although 2015 is not an across the board success (for reasons I will discuss below), the best wines are truly phenomenal. In particular, 2015 is a superb vintage for Margaux and Saint-Julien. Pauillac and Pessac-Léognan aren’t too far behind. ANTONIO GALLONI

Now that the wines of 2015 are in bottle and on the water to Australia, the press is in and the initial out-of-barrel hype that accompanied the vintage 2 years ago has largely come to fruition.

This special supper gives you the opportunity to taste some of the stars of the vintage alongside a menu (coming soon) from the Bellota kitchen. It’s now a rarity to taste through many of these Chateaux and the historical knowledge of what makes great Bordeaux special is fading BUT make no mistake, this is still the home of the world’s greatest Cab family blends.

Places are limited to 20 so please be quick if you’d like to attend.
