In the resurgent Barbaresco zone, few producers are more highly regarded than Rizzi. This Treiso-based property has been turning out some of the best traditionally styled wines for years but in more recent times under the guiding hand of Enrico and Jole (sister) Dellapiana the wines have moved into another league. They are pure and elegant expressions that carry a strong terroir signature from each of the crus they farm. This dinner is our first opportunity to be able to show both some younger wines and a few things with same age while at the same time look at all four single vineyards: Rizzi, Nervo, Pajore and Boito.

We have also decided to move from Bellota for this dinner and visit our South Melbourne neighbours at Park Street Pasta and Wine where Alex and the team are producing great pasta and classic Italian dishes. We’ve heavily subsidised this dinner to make these wines as accessible as possible. However, it is limited to 25 customers so please be quick if you’d like to reserve your place.
