Neil Jericho made wine for over 35 years in Victoria, mainly in the Rutherglen and King Valley regions, interspersed with stints in Portugal. In this venture the whole family is in play, with wife Kaye, a vintage widow; eldest daughter Sally, who worked for Wine Australia for 10 years after working in the Clare Valley, then obtaining marketing and accounting degrees from the University of Adelaide; and son Andrew, who obtained his Bachelor of Oenology from the University of Adelaide (in 2003), having worked for 10 years in McLaren Vale, but then moved outside the square for experience at the highly regarded GraceVineyard in the Shanxi Province of China. Son Kim was torn between oenology and hospitality courses and graphic design, and opted for the latter, providing help with label and point-of-sale design. Jerichos Single Vineyard McLaren Vale Shiraz 13 won two important trophies at the McLaren Vale Wine Show 14: Best McLaren Vale Shiraz, and Best Small Producer. JAMES HALLIDAY
