This is an exciting little power pack of six great wines, all in half's and all delicious! This is a mini tour of France, Italy, Spain and the USA.
From our neighbours to the east we have the Ata Rangi Pinot Noir 2017. What Helen Masters accomplishes from this wonderful little patch of land and the consistent quality is a testament to her skill and craftsmanship.
Peay Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2017 is as fine an example you will get of Chardonnay from the USA. This is not the big buttery, rich and bold style you may be used to but a much more focused and refined style that only a handful of America's more conscientious producers seem to be making.
France is represented by Pierre Gaillards St Joseph Rouge 2016 and Tour de Pin Figeac 2011. Gaillard is putting out some of the best St Joseph around and while the stable of wines from this highly sort after producers consists of a who's who of great sites and appellations of the northern Rhone their St Joseph has always been one of jewels in the crown.
Chateau Figeac has been owned by the descendants of the de Cazes family for almost five centuries. This ancient vineyard produces excellent Bordeaux from one of the regions most sort after terroirs in St Emillion. Imagine our delight when we were able to source several back vintages of these excellent wines and in halves - the perfect dinner treat.
Last is from one of Spains wine-royals and from the family vineyards of Telmo Rodriguez. Remelluri 2012 is the old family estate of Telmo and is a classic study in pitch-perfect old-school styled Rioja.
We hope you enjoy this stellar little pack of tiny goodness!
