(40% vendange entier):  Deep, bright red.  Crushed blueberry, cumin, coriander, thyme, peppermint, orange zest and licorice on the piercing nose.  Then large-scaled, dense and backward, with outstanding chewy depth to its dark berry and licorice flavors.  Utterly unevolved and not currently showing the class or ineffable high notes of the Clos de Beze.  But the noble tannins and outstanding persistence suggest that this will be a knockout. STEPHEN TANZER
