This wine was my pick for the year for a few reasons
 *   Quality Rosso di Montalcino (Baby Brunello) that is relatively inexpensive, known
 *   Elegant and age worthy that also is ready to drink now
 *   Bright, crunchy with hints of cherry and spice with fine supple tannins.
 *   From one of the most reputable producers in Tuscany
 *   Wonderful with food - think Roast Porchetta, Aged Beef or Osso Bucco. Not to mention this wine would not be out of place on your Christmas table. JEFF SALT

Here's a pretty wine that reflects the ambient light and offers a brilliant ruby color. The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino Lo Scorno is a little less precise on the nose, where it offers dried fruit aromas with a touch of scorched earth or campfire ash. The bouquet has a lot going on. The mouthfeel is simple and bright in comparison. MONICA LARNER, The Wine Advocate
