LIQUOR / sangiovese
Sangiovese has met with some sucess in the New World, particularly in warmer regions of Australia such as Heathcote and Mc Laren Vale, but also the King Valley in alpine Victoria.
In character the grape delivers wines of dark and morello cherry flavour and aromatics alongside dried herb, liquorice and persistent drying tannins. The tannins make the wine the perfect cleansing agent to grilled meat and game dishes.
