Dead Guy is actually quite experimental. It is a German-style maibock, which is a hoppier version of a bock beer, except Rogue here amps up the hops and uses it’s own strain of ale yeast, instead of the traditional strain of lager yeast, which will impart more fruity esters into the beer. From there, awesomeness commences.
Dead Guy pours out of the bottle a hazy amber with slight orange hues in the light and a thin, creamy off-white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy, with notes of orange, brown sugar, pine, caramel and raisin. The body is light to medium but very creamy. The flavor profile starts with some toffee and caramel, before moving on to some raisin and currant, then a bitter finish with hints of white grapefruit. The aftertaste is dry with hints of pine and orange. The flavors are all in good balance. This is a very enjoyable beer to drink.

Pours cloudy orange, amber with a thin off white head. Aromas of pine needles and citrus fruits, biscuity malt, caramel with yeasty and honeyed notes, smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a balanced dry medium bitter finish. It is incredibly well balanced and seriously sessionable - a definite PWS staff favourite! PWS
