A moderate year but with an accelerated final stage of ripening due to some relatively warm nights. Fruit flavours are very much in the primary zone.  Small crops with intense flavour and solid natural acidity. The consquences of this season for our Shiraz meant well ripened stems and sound turgid berries.

Natural winemaking philosophy, whilst making quality the priority. Minimal intervention in the vineyard. 100% hand-picked. 100% whole bunch.  Remontage and a small amount of pigeage (at the end of fermentation) was applied over the course of fermentation. The regularity of which varied from parcel to parcel depending on fruit structure. Fermentation peaked at 32°C.  No post ferment maceration. The separate batches completed natural malolactic fermentation and were then blended.
No filtration at bottling. STEVE FLAMSTEED
