Well it's been a while since we have put out a half bottle mixed dozen and what better time of year then now. We have been searching high and low for the best set of 'little' wines in the market and we reckon we nailed it! The half bottles have always been a little pet project of mine in the store and I'm stoked to be able to share the fruits of my labour. There is a great mix of favourite local producers and we are pretty excited to introduce a couple of new additions fresh off the boat from France and Italy. So, whether you want to use these as stocking stuffers or sneak a little something away while you escape when the in-laws arrive, we got you covered!

We start with the superstar Trimbach and their reserve Riesling 2015 with its pristine fruits and cleansing acidity. Next up a new arrival and first-time batter in the Correggia Roero Arneis. We are super excited to have this in the smaller format and is of course just as delicious as its bigger brother. A flight west and we are sipping Sancerre from Pascal Reverdy in the Loire, zippy, crunchy and perfect for a sneaky run to the beach. Yabby Lakes Red Claw Gris is plump and full of juicy clean fruit and no oak to hide the freshness inside. To finish two completely different but ultimately awesome expressions of Chardonnay. One from PWS stalwart Chantemerle Chablis and new kid on the block 2017 and the other the irreproachable Oakridge Willow Lake Chardonnay from Yarra legend Dave Bicknell.

On to the reds with one of our favourite producers Vissoux and there jubey, juicy Griottes Beaujolais. Pinot to follow of course and hard to beat the vibrant energy of the Kooyong Estate Pinot Noir 2016. From stellar vintage Guigal 2015 Cotes du Rhone, need we say more? And to back it up with of my wines of the year the 2016 Clonakilla O'rada Shiraz - Its blue fruits, and smoky spices that are just to hard to resist. Another mini fresh off the boat with the Correggia Nebbiolo. Under screw cap and looking as good as ever. Last and definitely not least a back-vintage Bordeaux from 2008 and producer Tour du Pin Figeac. This bad boy is ripe and ready to go so don't wait!

Enjoy this power-packed dozen in all its miniature glory!

Cheers, Myles
