From a vineyard in the northern reaches of the Mornington Peninsula. It crops at 1 tonne per acre. It’s all de-stemmed, and it all goes into old 500 litre oak (by gravity). It’s bottled unfined, and unfiltered.

It’s a powerful wine and a complex one. We’re into high-minded territory here. Macerated cherries and plums, a slip of raspberry, autumn leaves and shots of spice. A subtle smokiness too, but blink and you miss it. It feels dry and tannic but the fruit and more savoury notes juice straight through the finish. Excellent. CAMPBELL MATTINSON, The Wine Front 2018
