Antoine Olivier Clearance Offer 2020

ANTOINE OLIVIER CLEARANCE OFFER – ONE OF BURGUNDY’S GREATEST VALUE PROSPECTS NOW CRAZY CHEAP AT MORE THAN 30% OFF – AT LEAST FOR A LITTLE WHILE

traditional whites of acidity in tension. I think I wrote vibrant and delicious far too many times – be warned! BILL NANSON

While it is undoubtedly thrilling to taste Burgundy’s most important and coveted wines, these days I get just as much pleasure from discovering wines from lesser appellations and producers that remain a bit under the radar. In other words, wines that the average consumer can still find and acquire without taking out a second mortgage. ANTONIO GALLONI

These are tasty, relatively elegant renditions of Santenay but lose nothing in terms of concentration or clarity. A fine address in Santenay. BURGUNDY REPORT

Many of our Burgundy customers will be very familiar with these wines now as we have been importing them and singing their praises for a number of years. Usually they sell out before the next vintage is due to arrive but with everything that has been going on we think these have been missed by some people. This has been compounded by fact the usual run of great restaurants that buy these wines obviously are not right now.

There is no point beating around the bush here, we have the next vintage on the way very soon and need to make room for them so we are offering the sensational 2017s from Antoine Olivier, who we already regard as one of the greatest value prospects in the region, for drastically reduced prices.

A very brief recap, Antoine is based in Santenay but unlike the majority of his neighbours he is a staunch advocate of whites in the area. Antoine has spent many years reclaiming and rejuvenating vineyards once thought of as being ideal for white wine and planting Chardonnay there again. The results are seriously impressive and his wines contain an entirely different sense of minerality to their cousins in some more well regarded communes.

We have less than 15 dozen of each remaining and are offering them with a minimum 20% off for single bottles and more than 30% off in straight six packs or more. These are superbly crafted and sensational value normally, at these prices they are too good to pass up. I think Bill Nanson sums them up beautifully in his reviews from Burgundy Report, listed below.
