Barossa Warmers 2017
The Barossa is a wild and wondrous place with still so much to give. It is an exciting time for new budding Barossa producers. They have access to growers who are happy to work with their new ideas and energy’s, challenging the old ways. This is a place that is very much on the move. Stand still or die. The region, not forgetting Eden, has had a string of exceptional vintages. Since 2012 they haven’t had any serious issues to contend with. 2015 was a traditional vintage producing orthodox shiraz/grenache with fruit weight and structure.
It remains one of the best regions for value wines and the style is perfect for the winter months so check out these winter beauties from icon Dean Hewitson and relative newcomer Alex Head: they are both producing some of the best wines in the Valley, striving for balance, perfume and finesse.
