From a two-hectare parcel, that perfectly straddles the border between La Morra and Barolo, with 50% in each commune.

Ahhh Brunate! The beast to Cannubi's beauty...well kind of! The juxtaposition between the two crus is hard not to admire. It's a show of terroir one rarely gets to see so starkly. There's more muscle here with the fruit spectrum straying from dark cherry into red plum and the spice elements starting to become darker as well. These dark swathes of fruit radiate power and are dusted with dark spice a hint of balsamic and ferrous mineral. Altogether more powerful and foreboding than Cannubi but ultra impressive balance between fruit and structure. You just have to admire the uncompromising nature of this wine. Moreover, if you ever want to understand this fabulous vineyard this wine writes the book on the subject.  Complimenti!! MICHAEL MCNAMARA
