Fraser Gallop Parterre Cabernet 2013
Fraser Gallop was established by Nigel Gallop in 1998 on Wilyabrup’s highest site just 6 km’s from the Indian Ocean in northern Margaret River. Absolutely nothing was spared when the vineyards and winery were established and Nigel found his perfect fit in winemaker Clive Otto (previously Vasse Felix) who joined in 2006. The new partnership proved a success as Clive’s first full vintage at the helm, saw the 2007 Parterre Cabernet being named “Best Bordeaux Blend in the World” at the Decanter Wine Awards in London. Clive’s wine making philosophy has always been to let the fruit speak for itself and to create age-worthy wines with great purity and balance in their youth. The 2013 Parterre Cabernet is arguably the finest Cabernet made at Fraser Gallop and anyone who’s a fan of Cabernet in general or Margaret River Cabernet in particular, should buy some. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
