Delamere Rose NV, TAS
Winemaker/Mum: Fran Austin
Showing true mature Sparkling Rosé characters, it has a pale salmon colour and an aroma of fresh strawberry and musk, complexed by hints of lanolin and toast. But there is an additional layer of complexity from the bottle-aged reserve in this delicious 2016 blend. DELAMERE
Chalmers Vermentino 2019, Heathcote
Director/Winemaker/Mum: Kim Chalmers
100% Vermentino from the Chalmers vineyard in Heathcote on rich, red Cambrian soil, sitting 150-170m above sea level. Handpicked, whole bunch pressings and wild fermentation before the wine sits on less for 6 months. No acid adds. Vegan friendly. Clean and crisp, this Vermentino shows lemon verbena, brine and white nectarine with an overall chalkiness leaving you wanting more. KIM CHALMERS
Tarrawarra Estate Chardonnay 2017, Yarra Valley
Winemaker/Mum: Clare Halloran
A racy, fresh and drink-now style that’s lightly spiced, citrussy with some complexing sulphides and creamy lees. Lithe and long with a fine line of natural acidity. A good drink. JANE FAULKNER, 2020 Halliday Wine Companion
Pooley Pinot Noir 2018, Coal River Valley, TAS
Winemaker/Mum: Anna Pooley
Cherry and assorted red fruits, a sprig of mint, sweet spices, floral things. Firm but flavoursome, a distinct cool ‘mineral’ feel, tannin firm and fine, all so fresh and clean, with length to boot. Lovely. GARY WALSH, The Wine Front
Reed ‘Alexia’ Grenache 2018, Marananga, SA
Winemaker/Mum: Sierra Milne
Raspberries in abundance here. Very rich and fleshy with lots of smooth, gently sinewy tannins. Pastry-like texture at the finish. Drink now. Screw cap. JAMES SUCKLING
