PWS New Releases: Burgundy Tasting

This weekend we be tasing newly arrived Burgundies, kicking off with a couple of superb 2016 whites from Buisson-Battault, then onto with a broad selection of 2017 wines from Domaine de Bellene as well as Gerard Raphet's pure, light footed and aromatic bourgogne rouge.

2016 will always be remembered as the vintage of horrendous frosts where production in some communes was utterly decimated. The one upside for consumers is that quality is excellent. Ample flesh and concentration with  enough nerve and minerality to carry the weight.  2017 follows with (in general) excellent quality and a more focused line than the preceeding couple of vintages,

This is a great selection of wines and will be an excellent tasting.
