Tuscany 'Big Guns' Tasting 2020

Tuscany is home to some of the world’s greatest wines and they seem to have entered a golden era with many producers pushing the quality envelope hard and a string of sensational years this is a region that right now has everything going for it. As part of our Tuscan celebration in March we have compiled a tasting of some of the regions super star wines. Some you will know and others may come as a bit of a surprise. The line up focuses on the two great years of recent times, 2016 and 2015. While both vintages were superb they are also significantly different and the resulting offerings are about as good as it gets.

The line up includes, from 2016 Ornellaia Le Serre Nuove, Duemani, Felsina, Petrolo and Querciabella while from 2015 it is the first of the top flight Brunello to land from this much heralded vintage in the region, San Filippo with scores of 98 for the regular bottling and 100 for Le Lucere.

This is a tasting that no fan of Italian wine should miss.
