Mataro / Cinsault / Carignan.

It starts bold, it finishes dry and long. It’s 14.7% alcohol but it holds it well, the finish warm but not overly so. Saltbush, blackberry, iodine, molasses and sweet, roasted game, the latter rolling through rather than gathering. Hefty but neat, is how I’d describe it. CAMPBELL MATTINSON, The Wine Front
