Rolet Cremant du Jura Blanc NVA blend of 50% chardonnay, 10% savagnin and 40% red grapes - pinot noir, poulssard and trousseau. A richer core of brioche and apple is complemented by a whiff of hazelnut and a savoury saline finish. The chardonnay component plays a leading role. This is utterly delicious - ripe with a framing acidity. GABRIELLE POY, PWS

Apollonis Authentic Meunier Blanc de Noir Brut NVBased in the Marne Valley, this producer has a predominance of Pinot Meunier in many of its Champagnes. Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve NVThe base wine is equal parts pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier from the'07 vintage, and 40% reserve wine is added prior to the wine being bottled for its second fermentation. The reserve wine has an average age of 10 years, so after three years on lees prior to disgorgement the Brut Reserve has an average age of just under six years. Aromas of brioche, almond and peach; the palate has great length and complexity, the youthful base wine's freshness contrasting with the velvety/creamy nuances of the Reserve. Pierre Menard Clos de Mailles Anjou Blanc 2017
After studying wine in the Agronomic school of Angers, Pierre travelled the world to learn about the different processes and made wine in Canada, New Zealand and Hungary. Only in his late twenties, Pierre started to produce wine in the Layon in 2013. Since his first vintage Pierre's wines have been met with critical acclaim.
The Clos des Mailles comes from three parcels in the vineyard; one is 25 years old, one 100 years, and the other 8 years. You won't find any botrytis character here. As Pierre works very hard to exclude this from his wines, wanting the purity of the vineyard to be at the forefront. In the same vein, it has been vinified using 80% old French oak and 20% stainless steel. This results in a beautifully mineral wine with layered complexity. Yellow plum, flint, smoky/schisty, and ripe peach all play together with great acidity and minerality. Purity, structure, a lengthy finish, and utter deliciousness, Pierre's Clos des Mailles is an experience we all deserve this year. BRIAN2011Chenin BlancFrance422$72.00 As low as $64.80
Reed Papa Beaujolais Fleurie 2019
For the past few years Sierra has been to work vintage with her friend and mentor Pierre Marie Chermette in Beaujolais. This wine is a culmination of these two friends.
Living up to its Fleurie cru status, this invites with florals and cherry compote scents. Fresh earth and spice then quell the florals and a lovely hit of sprightly acidity carries the flavours along. Fine silt like tannins to finish, delicious. GABRIELLE POY, PWS
This wine screams of its mother place Beaujolais and of the teachings of my greatest mentor Pierre Marie Chermette. Fleurie captures the purity and beauty that is Gamay and this wine is living that truth. Tart red fruits, delicate but present acid and loads of perfume shape this wine. if this wine could speak its wisdom would educate you and its juvenile nature would charm you. Guigal Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2017Not many wine lovers realize just how important white wines are at Guigal, where 25% of total production is in white. By contrast only 2% of total production in the Rhône valley is white wines. Perhaps even more impressive, this family-owned and -operated domain is responsible for almost a third of the total production of Condrieu. Faiveley Mercurey Le Clos du Roy 2019 1er
Aromas of plums, spices, incense and soil tones, framed by a touch of toasty new oak, introduce the 2019 Mercurey 1er Cru Clos du Roy, a medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety wine that's fleshy and concentrated, with fine, powdery tannins and lively acids. Ayala Brut Majeur NVThe NV Brut Majeur shows lovely balance in an approachable, up-front style well-suited to near-term drinking. Clean, mineral notes add a sense of proportion on the fresh, vibrant finish. The blend is 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, 80% of which is from the 2004 vintage, while the rest of the wine is composed of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay reserve wines.ANTONIO GALLONI, Wine Advocate, 2010NVChampagneFrance376$85.00 As low as $76.50

Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec 2019The 2019 Sec Clos du Bourg is a wine of stature and vertical build. There is real gravitas to the orchard fruit, spice and earthy flavors. Tasted blind, Clos du Bourg might be confused with a red wine such is its feeling of volume and structure. Far from an easygoing Vouvray, Clos du Bourg is a very serious wine. I loved it. Zind Humbrecht Pinot Gris Rangen de Thann Grand Cru 2018
Smoky stoniness initially fills the nose on this wine. With a little more air, pear fruitiness comes though while a flinty glint of reduction smoulders in the background. The palate comes with the gentlest sweetness and still needs to knit together. Ample fruit, great energy and immense concentration are all evident in one juicy sip. This is a powerhouse of a wine, coiled tightly and streamlined into a toned swoop. It will release its force in due course. (95) WINE ENTHUSIAST
The Rangen Grand Cru is located at the southern end of the Alsace wine road, on a very steep south facing hillside, directly over the river Thur. The Clos-Saint-Urbain takes his name from a small iconic chapel built in the middle of the vineyard. Saddly the original chapel that was built at the end of the 15th century got destroyed during the French revolution, and again during first world war. The current chapel was rebuilt after along the middle of the Clos. The soil of the Rangen is a unique volcanic sedimentary rock. Ashes and smokes from a nearby volcano sedimented under the sea and got compacted into rocks as the Vosges mountains were formed. The Rangen has the ability to dramatically influence the style of the wine. If the Riesling is an obvious choice in this vineyard, it is arguably the Pinot-Gris that actually transcends and makes one with the vineyard. If the slope, sun exposure, altitude… can explain the richness of the wines of the Rangen, it is the soil that construct their personality and character. The 2018 was harvested at the perfect ripeness, but nature being nature, the yeasts decided to leave a very small amount of sweetness in the wine -indice 2- probably also influenced by a very small amount of noble rot.
Bright intense yellow with some gold. The nose is bold, powerful, developing intense flinty aromas, smoke, wet humus… The palate is surprisingly tight and elegant. Smaller berries brought a slightly higher concentration in tannins. The wine is caressing the palate, develops a velvety structure. Beautiful harmony and bright finish. He acidity of the Rangen wines is particularly saline (volcanic rock) and this is the major taste on the finish of this wine. Grand vin, for keeping! Egly Ouriet Grand Cru Brut NVYet another striking release of this wine, this is made exclusively from Grand Cru vines predominantly in Ambonnay but also Bouzy and Verzenay. It’s 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay from low-yielding, perfectly tended vines that have been harvested fully ripe. Natural fermentation was with wild yeasts only and the first period of maturation (before going to bottle) lasted almost one year, with the wine remaining on its fine lees for the whole time. The wine clarified slowly and naturally—as was once typical across the region—and as such there was no fining nor filtration. Over 50% of the wine was fermented and aged in oak casks. The dosage was at three grams per litre, so extra-brut territory.NVChampagneFrance376$280.00 As low as $252.00
Danjou Banessy Le Coste Blanc 2016
Located at Espira in the Agly Valley, this domain was only producing fortified and dry rancio wines when Benoit Danjou took over from his father ten years ago. Five years later his brother Sebastien joined him.
Their vines are rooted in a soil of clay, black schists, and limestone rocks, and are now vinified into dry whites and reds that aim to capture the true expression of the landscape.

Domaine de Pelican Trois Cepages 2018A blend of the three Jura reds, pinot, ploussard and trousseau. There's a seriousness and depth to this wine that is offset with fragrant fruit and earthy tannins. A beautiful wine.
'The 2018 Arbois Trois Cepages a is brilliant introduction to Guillaume D'Angerville's Jura reds. Bright and punchy, the Trois Cepages offers superb fruit intensity in the mid-weight, lifted style that is typical of these wines. Domaine Ostertag Riesling Clos Mathis 2014Straw-green. Reticent, soil-driven aromas of quince and chamomile, plus an incipient diesel fuel element. Rich, ripe and intensely flavored, featuring notes of green apricot, flowers and botanical herbs. Ripe and long on the back end, which features balsamic mementos. As usual, this large-scale wine tastes big, almost massive, and savory, in a Trocken Pfalz-like way compared to Ostertag’s other more Nahe-like wines. It’s also the easiest wine to recognize blind in Ostertag’s lineup, as it’s more shut down and folded onto itself when young, and larger-scale in its profile, than Ostertag’s other Rieslings (the vineyard is located in Ribeauvillé and therefore has a completely different geological origin than the other Riesling sites owned by Ostertag). The real name of this site is Hagel, which in German means “hail,” so it’s understandable that Ostertag wasn’t keen on using this name for his wine. Guy Breton Morgon Vielles Vignes 2020
Breton's flagship wine, the Morgon “Vieilles Vignes” comes from 80 year old vines in the Saint Joseph and Grand Cras subzones which give fine, stony wines. A high-lying sandy parcel contributes more complexity, structure, and acidity to the blend.
Sappy and spicy on the palate, its velvety flush of fruit flows seamlessly across the palate. Inky and minerally tones balance out the fruit and florals. Phoar this is a beauty! It's a majestic and mighty Morgon with lucidity and vivacity. Fine silty tannins frame the wine. It's incredibly delicious and a little age will welcome some savoury flavours. Leoville Las Cases 1995
1 BOTTLE AVAILABLE
Michel Delon, a great man, is the consummate proprietor, meticulously administering this vast estate spread out along the St.-Julien/Pauillac border, separated from Latour's finest vineyard by a mere ten feet. The 1993-95 vintages from Delon are brilliant wines. Leoville-Las-Cases remains one of the irrefutable reference points for high class Bordeaux. In a year where 65% of the production was eliminated, Las Cases has turned out an amazingly profound, opaque black/purple-colored wine that offers the essence of cassis fruit in its formidably endowed personality. The wine hits the palate with an explosion of ripe fruit. Possessing nicely integrated acid, alcohol, and tannin, the 1995 Leoville-Las-Cases is full and rich, yet marvelously well-balanced. This is a classic example of packing significant power and flavor intensity into a wine, without causing it to taste heavy or ponderous. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2030. Zind Humbrecht Gewurztraminer Turckheim 2018
Zind Humbrecht is one of the unquestioned kings of aromatic whites. His ceaseless drive to create the worlds greatest examples of his varieties is nothing short of remarkable as are the resulting offerings. A devoted proponent of Biodynamics, a gifted presenter and communicator and a towering figure of modern wine, the first Frenchman to be awarded the MW (International Master of Wine) he has justifiably earned his reputation as one of legends of modern wine.
The Tuckheim Range is the value tier and represents classic Alsace whites from a regional blend of grapes as well as estate fruit.
An exuberant Gewurztraminer with roses, lilies and lychee ploughing out of the glass. Crafted from a blend of the tanks used to top off all the different foudres of Gewurztraminer produced by Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, it contains wine from across this estate's vast holdings. Huet Vouvray Le Mont Sec 2005
The Huet 2005 Vouvray Sec Le Mont leads with quince, tangerine zest, and orange blossom, comes to the palate with great delicacy, refinement and polished texture, and displays a refreshing, shimmering interchange of orchard and citrus fruit with saline, chalky, smoky, stony minerality in its long, billowing finish. Relish this beauty DAVID SCHILDKNECHT, Wine Advocate
This wine still has a very fresh and pale hue despite its age, and is clearly still very young. The nose seems in keeping with this, showing a very minerally trait, and it feels surprisingly quite reductive in character, with smoky nuances too, and so it doesn't really show the development I would have expected in a wine of this vintage. In keeping with this it has an incredibly fresh and vibrant palate, is quite pithy, with great depth. There are some pear-fruit notes, as well as a twist of tropical fruit, but much more of that smoky minerality to be honest. This is impressive stuff. Jean Marc Bouley Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens 2016Sappy, aromatic nose combines red raspberry, cherry and smoky minerality. The silkiest and smoothest of these 2016s but with its vibrant cherry and red berry flavors given precision and lift by a firm spine of calcaire minerality. Intense, sweet and utterly suave wine with a mounting finish featuring noble tannins that reach the front teeth. This is typically a very crystalline style of wine (without the volume of Rugiens-Bas) thanks to its rocky energy, and in 2016 it maintains juiciness and precision without coming off as austere. As with the family's holding in Volnay Caillerets, these wines were mostly spared by the frost. STEPHEN TANZER, vinous.com2016Pinot noirFrance358$343.00 As low as $308.70

Jaboulet Parallele 45 Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2019
Since taking over Jaboulet in 2003 the Frey family have been moving towards organics and biodynamic viticulture - not always that easy in the temperate climes of the Northern Rhone, especially at volume - yet in 2017 they achieved their goal.
To get there they have dramatically reduced yields - up to 60% less fruit per hectare now than when they took over.
The wines across the board have improved dramatically in quality and their entry level Cotes du Rhone both red and white are no exception. These are amazing quality for the amount of wine made and the price. For $20 a bottle (in dozen) you will struggle to find wines as well put together and expressive of the Rhone.2019France467$25.00 As low as $22.50

Tasted at the Château Giscours vertical, the 2008 Château Giscours is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot picked between September 30 and October 1. The bouquet is very well defined with ebullient red berry fruit mixed with orange peel and cedar aromas. There is something that distantly echoes a Côte de Beaune! Perhaps the purity on offer here? The palate is very well balanced with a keen line of acidity, very fine tannins and ample freshness. I loved this Giscours from barrel and it is now living up to my expectations. The vines in this monopole are 55 years old, planted in sandy topsoil over granite at a density of 10,000 per hectare. Whole-berry, semi-carbonic maceration for seven days, then aged in concrete for six months. Burgaud says: "The 12th century Chateau de Thulon, my great aunt’s property, is in one of the best villages due to its hillsides and granite soil. It produces a bright red wine with a fresh and fruity nose. Best drunk within two years of release.
This wine was named in Wine Advocate's top 100 discoveries of 2020.
Offering up pretty aromas of blackberries, peonies and subtle forest floor, the 2019 Beaujolais-Villages Les Vignes de Lantignié is medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with lively acids, velvety tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish. As usual, this saw a short six- or seven-day maceration with whole clusters, followed by élevage in cement tank. Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2017 375mlSaturated ruby. Ripe black raspberry and cherry aromas are complicated by suggestions of cracked pepper, allspice and pungent flowers. Supple, appealingly sweet red and blue fruit preserve flavors gain energy with air, and a bright mineral element adds back-end lift. Supple tannins add shape to a persistent, floral-accented finish, which leaves cherry and spice notes behind. JOSH RAYNOLDS
How Guigal year after year extracts such quality from such volume is astonishing. Famous for paying his growers well above market value for their grapes is probably the key. The fact that he treats this wine with every care and respect that her treats his upper eschelon wines is probably the other. Chateau Angelus Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2015
62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc, 100% new oak
The 2015 Angelus is a blend of 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc, picked from 22 September finishing on 14 October. "We found a nice homogeneity with the Merlot lots," I was told when I visited. "The old Cabernet Franc was very nice, but the younger vines were blended into the second label. This year, it is especially the Merlot that lends a lot of harmony to the wine. This year, the Merlot have some of the qualities of the Cabernet Franc, the precision and freshness. They give the generosity and sweetness." The wine was aged in 100% new oak at 11 degrees Celsius so they could add less sulfur to keep the freshness of the aromas and maintain the elegance of the wine. It offers a complex array of aromas such as black cherry, camphor, oyster shells and Japanese nori, beautifully defined and very focused. The palate is medium-bodied but powerful with layer of svelte tannins and a keen thread of acidity; layers of black fruit laced with spices, baking powder, mint and white pepper. It feels long in the mouth, insistently clinging for a minute after the wine has departed. Oh là là. This is a sexy, but compelling Angelus, fit for "007" and wine-lovers everywhere. NEAL MARTIN, erobertparker
Readers will have to be very patient with the 2015 Angélus. Massively tannic and forbidding, Angélus is one of the most reticent, unyielding 2015s I tasted. The high percentage of Cabernet Franc, the approach to extraction, aging in the cellar - which involves minimal racking and low S02 - and slightly late bottling are some of the factors that result in a huge, powerful, impenetrable wine at this stage. Even so, the 2015 exudes concentration and depth. Time in the glass brings out some of the wine's unctuousness, but it will be at least a decade before the 2015 is ready to deliver true drinking pleasure. Zind Humbrecht Pinot Gris Roche Calcaire 2018A very succulent gewurz with tons of yellow fruit, as well as rose aromas, then some spice joins the picture as it aerates in the glass. At once very creamy, frankly off-dry yet very fresh on the palate, this is delightful now. Drink now, either by itself or with mature cheese. STUART PIGOTT
Flint, smoke, chalk and cream all appear in brief flashes on the nose of this wine. The palate still holds some residual carbon dioxide but then slowly reveals serene and ripe but bright pear fruit at its core. Freshness takes its cue from a pithy texture and lends shape to this bold but fresh, bone-dry wine. WINE ENTHUSIAST
This wine is mostly the second wine of Pinot-Gris from the Clos Windsbuhl. Sometimes, small volumes of other single vineyards (Heimbourg and Clos Jebsal) can be used in addition, depending on vineyard selection we are doing. The old vines of Pinot-Gris in the Windsbuhl were planted in the 1960s or earlier. When we acquired the Clos in 1987, some vines needed to be pulled out (wrong grape or rootstock) and were replaced partly with some Pinot-Gris between 1988 and 1992. These 'younger' vines are not used in the Clos Windsbuhl and all go into this cuvée. However, the vineyard signature is well present: good acidity, elegant racy palate…. but also a tendency to keep residual sweetness if the ripeness goes just slightly too high. It is therefore very important to pick at the right moment, and Pinot-Gris can evolve very quickly, which was done perfectly in 2018. The wine was able to ferment dry from very healthy grapes.
Clear yellow colour. There is an immediate sense of ripe white fruits (peach, pears) and citrus aromas on the nose, with an almost 'Riesling like' character. The palate is refined, elegant and the dry finish adds to the complexity of the wine. Good length, medium power, so drinkable! It really is a very convincing Pinot-Gris and a style we would like to achieve exactly like this every year! ZIND HUMBRECHT

La Fleur de Bouard 2010 375ml
The 2010 La Fleur du Bouard (80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon) is bottled unfined and unfiltered and hit 14.5% natural alcohol. The wine offers up notes of black raspberry and blueberry pie intermixed with incense, lead pencil shavings and plenty of underlying floral notes. Some background oak is also present. The wine is medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure, voluptuously textured, rich, long and hedonistic and satisfying. Drink it over the next 10+ years. The other cuvee, a limited production wine, can be absolutely magnificent with some bottle age, as the 2000 is certainly proving to be.
The standard of excellence for Lalande de Pomerol is Hubert de Bouard’s 50-acre property, over half of it located on the highly prized Neac plateau, which consists of clay, sand and gravel sub-soils. ROBERT PARKER, 20132010Cabernet MerlotFrance356$80.00 As low as $72.00

ATONIO GALLONI 94
The 2018 La Dominique burst from the glass with an exotic mélange of ripe red fruit, blood orange, spice and cedar. La Dominique is a rich wine, but it also has enough energy and verve to balance things out. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. I especially admire the delineation and nuance in the 2018. This is such a gorgeous wine, especially with a bit of aeration.2018Cabernet BlendsFrance356$175.00 As low as $157.50
