A little Languedoc love here. We were suitably impressed by this littles number when it crossed our path. The philosophy here is to create a classic range of Southern French wines, produced by the enigmatic Château Canet estate in the Languedoc, Côte Lavande is supposed to be fun and care-free.
Bright cherry and plum fruits on the nose with lovely depth and savoury complexity. You can feel the warm and sunny southern coasts in this wine. The palate shows nice weight with good fruit intensity with a bricky, earthiness that is really appealing. Its Bright and packed full of flavour. Pure and with very little or no oak to trick this up. Nice stuff!
