  1. Monkey Shoulder Whiskey 700ml
    Monkey Shoulder Whiskey 700ml
The nose is nice and sweet with sherry, not quite ripe plum, cinnamon sprinkled baked pears (pretentious, I know, but I think that describes it better than pear and cinnamon separately), butterscotch, barley and strawberry. There is also a distinctively Bourbon-esque vanilla note. Very pleasant nose, I would rate it highly amongst blends so far as aroma goes. The palate is surprisingly tangy with a heathery/sweet nutty honey sweetness which is paired with tinned fruit, citrus and mint. Towards the end you’ll also notice some oak notes and orange peel which stay in the finish which is medium-long. The nose is more impressive, but the palate has nothing to be ashamed of. I could see this going really well in a Rob Roy, actually.

A blended Scotch from William Grant, Monkey Shoulder features a proportion of whisky from Kininvie, Balvenie and Glenfiddich. The nose is of medium-body and quite sweet. There are notes of milkshake, spice, a touch of strawberry jam and a little barley sweetness. The palate is of medium-body and quite well-balanced. There are notes of mint and crème anglaise, a distinct fruit salad note with honeyed sweetness. The finish is of medium-length with developing oak.

  2. Starward Whisky - Two Fold (700ml)
Starward Whisky - Two Fold (700ml)
Our vision has always been to create a whisky that is not only world class in quality and craftsmanship but accessible to all, regardless of how you choose to enjoy it.
Two-Fold is our biggest step in that ambitious direction - a double grain whisky that is entirely matured in our signature Australian red wine barrels. A union of Australia's two most quintessential grains; Wheat and Malted Barley, coming together to create a flavor-forward whisky that is filled with rich complexities driven by the power of two grains. Matured in Melbourne's intensely reactive climate, leading to a beautifully balanced and incredibly versatile sipping whisky. The nose is filled with spiced vanilla and fresh tropical fruit. Whilst the palate is flowing with hints of Fuji apples, roasted pineapple, lightly toasted oak, and a soft tannic finish. STARWARD

  3. Rittenhouse 100 Bottled in Bond Rye Whiskey (700ml)
Rittenhouse 100 Bottled in Bond Rye Whiskey (700ml)

    Rittenhouse Rye 100 - Aged 4 years

Now widely accepted as a bench mark American Rye and outstanding its it class. Rittenhouse is much acclaimed and is enjoying a much deserved comeback throughout the USA with plenty of awards and accolades to its name. A beautiful nose, choc-full with baking spices and crushed red pepper. A touch hot but not the least bit unexpected for this 100 proof bottling. The higher alcohol  makes it the perfect candidate shaken into cocktails or poured over ice just to help break down the heat a little. More to the richer and robust side of US Rye the palate has lashings of clovey/vanilla-bean anglaise, gingerbread, citrus peel, cocoa and spicy, woody notes and an almost creamy, rich palate. Basically just just damn good tasty Rye.

  4. Rogue Dead Guy Whiskey 700ml
    Rogue Dead Guy Whiskey 700ml

Rogue's Dead Guy family has a whole new spirit—Dead Guy Whiskey, created on the Pacific Ocean and Yaquina Bay in a multi-step process.

Northwest Harrington, Maier Munich, Klages, and Carastan malts are combined with Free Range Coastal Water in a 100 BBL 3,000 gallon brew system. Distiller’s yeast is then added to the wort, fermented, and then hauled across the parking lot to the Rogue House of Spirits (est. 2006) where its doubledistilled by Master distiller John Couchot in a 150 gallon Vendome copper pot still and then aged in charred American white oak barrels. Each 3,000 gallon batch yields 100 gallons of Dead Guy Whiskey.

  5. Mars Iwai Wine Cask Whisky (750ml)
Mars Iwai Wine Cask Whisky (750ml)

Limited edition of IWAI Tradition Blended whisky. Aged in red wine (CabernetSauvignon) cask more than one year. On nose, light floral, fruity, hints of orange peel, and chocolate. Rich and fruity flavour with smooth texture, delicate tannin, vanilla, honey, caramel and red wine/oak character. Medium length, spicy followed by aromas of wine casks. It presents with a little red berry over-tone and an extra dimension that it gives a little extra lift and lilt. This is done really well and we often don't love 'wine' expressions but this is on the money. PWS

  6. Chichibu Ichiro's Malt & Grain Whisky (700ml)
    Chichibu Ichiro's Malt & Grain Whisky (700ml)
Ichiro Akuto's most voluminous and accessible Whisky is, as it says on the label, a blend of Malt and Grain Whiskies. While the exact source of the material is not published, we know it's a blend of Japanese distilled material vatted with Whiskies sourced from around the world. In addition to Whisky from his own stocks--including, potentially, Hanyu and Karuizawa, as well as his own Chichibu--the blend contains spirits from Canada, the United States, Ireland and Scotland. The imported Whiskeys are 3-5-years-old, aged in their country of origin before being carefully blended with local Japanese material and matured a further 1-3 years at Chichibu. The Whisky is vatted in 2 x 5,000-litre wooden barrels built by French cooper Taransaud. Non-chill filtered, non-coloured.

  7. Kirin Fuji-Sanroku Signature Blend Whisky (700ml)
Kirin Fuji-Sanroku Signature Blend Whisky (700ml)
Gold Medal - World Whisky Awards 2018

Launched in Japan in 2018 as a premium label replacement of the massively successful Fuji Sanroku Tarujukugenshu 50°. Each casks used in this blend is hand selected by Kirin's Jota Tanaka, the 2017 Icons of Whisky Master Distiller/Master Blender of the Year.

Nose: Toffee, pineapple, passion fruit, apricot jam.
Palate: Orange, rye spice, nutmeg, cloves, apricot jam, pineapple, wood shavings, passion fruit.
Finish: Very well controlled wood. Rye spice, smooth bourbon, passion fruit, pineapple and apricot jam.

Fuji-Gotemba Distillery’s talent for grain whisky is evident here, with a nose of waxy green leaves, whole peppercorn, and fleeting glimpses of lemon peel, lime zest, and white peach amid the airy, floral top notes. It has a serene, calming quality to it. Spicy pepper, orange peel, mouth-coating vanilla, creamy toffee, and crunchy apple, with a clean finish, like orange flesh laid out on hot stones. 90 points, JONNY MCCORMICk, whiskyadvocate.com

  8. PWS Manhattan at Home
    PWS Manhattan at Home
The woodsy spice, earthy edge and butterscotch pallet of Rittenhouse 100 Rye makes this the perfect choice for one of our favourite classic cocktails while the king of vermouth, Carpano Antica Formula, is the only way to go to match the robust aromas and flavours. To finish this wonderful drink, Angostura Bitter's complements like no other combo can.

The pista resistance though is the Luxardo Maraschino Cherries to garnish - soo good!

  9. Fleurieu Distillery Message in a Bottle Whisky 52% (700ml)
Fleurieu Distillery Message in a Bottle Whisky 52% (700ml)

MIB is all about softness, texture, balance, maltiness and just the right amount of oak. And it has it by the bucket loads as it is so rich and textured. There's hints of cinnamon, soy sauce, soft citrus fruitiness and lingering barley sugar flavours mixed with a hint of vanilla icecream at the end. Only 460 bottles were produced. 52.9% alc/vol from a marriage of several first fill ex-Seppeltsfield port casks. Unpeated, 700ml bottles.

Nose: Oily and fruity, lots of jam like characters and then vanilla icecream.

Palate: Dryer than the nose would suggest and a bit tighter, the alcohol is more restrained.

Finish: Jam, autumn leaves, dried fruit leather, some bitter lemon/orange and salted caramel.

Comment: Very Australian nose with fruity jams (apricot, fig and almond, blackberry and blueberry) and just a touch of herbal thymol.

  10. Fleurieu Distillery Atlantic Crossing Whisky 52% (700ml)
Fleurieu Distillery Atlantic Crossing Whisky 52% (700ml)

A year ago, Gareth & Angela Andrews have crossed their Rubicon, a point of no return in their journey from brewery to distillery. They aptly named their second release after that significant milestone. Here then is their Atlantic Crossing. It is the point in their journey where they sail into uncharted deep and dark waters in search of the Promised Land, with first shipments overseas to new markets and new horizons. This single malt is burnt amber in colour and rich in our signature salted caramel style with just a hint of smoke.

May Atlantic Crossing accompany and inspire you on your next voyage of discovery.

  11. Sullivans Cove Single Cask Brandy 700ml
Sullivans Cove Single Cask Brandy 700ml

World Brandy Awards 2019 - Gold Medal
The Spirts Business Master 2018 - MAster

Sullivans Cove XO Single Cask Brandy was born from a collaboration between Sullivans Cove Distillery and the thriving Tasmanian wine industry, when ten years ago we were given the opportunity to distil wines from the Huon Valley. The result is a spirit of incredible complexity and character, matured for many years by the unique Tasmanian climate in various European and American oak casks.

Like our Single Cask whiskies, XO Single Cask Brandy is bottled one cask at a time, allowing each to express its own unique character and producing only a very few bottles of rare quality.

“These single cask brandies will strike a chord with single malt whisky drinkers due to their intense depth, rich complexity and balanced elegance.” – Heather Tillott, Production Manager
