  1. Collector Tiger Tiger Chardonnay 2018
    Collector Tiger Tiger Chardonnay 2018

"Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild fermented and matured in French oak (30% new) for 11 months.  An exceptional wine, harmonious and simple.  White peach, pear and grapefruit all have something to say on the perfectly balanced and very long palate.  The '16 and '17 are equally outstanding. (97)  JAMES HALLIDAY, The Weekend Australian

  2. Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier 2019
    Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier 2019
Superb. From first whiff to last sip. Beautiful perfume, floral characters over red berries, exotic, brown spices, a touch of musk, some dried leaves. Oh man. Darker spectrum fruit flavours, black cherry, good concentration here but without weight, loaded with spice, tannins fine, gentle but an authority. Delicious, complex red. A feast for the sense. Excellent all up. MIKE BENNIE, The Wine Front

  3. Lark Hill Gruner Veltliner 2017
    Lark Hill Gruner Veltliner 2017
The juice was fermented using native yeasts in older french oak barrels (7+ years) to give funkiness, texture and build complexity, without imparting oak character.
As a young wine this shows exotic melon and fig aromas, a light and taut palate and a hint of texture to match with food. It will continue to improve over some years, gaining depth, complexity and the typical Gruner-driven spice characters of white pepper, parsnip and fresh herbs. LARK HILL

  4. Altera Terra Sanctus Syrah 2019
    Altera Terra Sanctus Syrah 2019

Faintly smoky aromas of cassis, mulberries, dark plums and chocolate oak overlie nuances of charcuterie meats, cola and citrus zest. Medium to fullish in weight, this long, measured and translucently clear wine supports its sour-edged expression of vivacious dark fruits with a gentle, dusty spine of firmish tannins that builds strength down the palate. It’s mouthfilling and unctuously smooth, finishing with delightful drive and balance. (96) JEREMY OLIVER

Inky crimson with a pink edge and a layered "old world" nose of complexity and depth. It's tightly knit with intense dried florals, dark berries, black cherry, blood plum, fennel seed, fiery spice and citrus zest. Bay, thyme and a gentle meatiness brings earth while graphite and wet slate gives a mineral edge. Intoxicating and beautiful.
The palate is succulent, effortless and driven by pristine and generously flavoured cherry, multidimensional deep red and dark berries, earthy sweet beetroot and hints of watermelon. This is structured with finesse, balance and strength and is in complete harmony. Expensive fine silky tannins and a perfectly judged swell of acidity carries the juice long and far to a tail that drifts with licorice and spice for minutes. My goodness

An expression of Shiraz from cool climate Murrumbateman, in NSW, that somehow manages to come across very un-Australian. It's Aussie, but I couldn't help drawing comparisons to some wines I've had from Chambolle-Musigny and Hermitage...big call but it's true. Neither heavy, nor light, but full in every sense. A great wine that takes Aussie shiraz to a great new place. MARK MALOUF, Wine Worth Writing About

  5. Lerida Estate Shiraz Viognier 2016
    Lerida Estate Shiraz Viognier 2016
This wine is made from fruit (95% Shiraz 5% Viognier) grown on our vineyard at Lake George. It is cold soaked for 5 days before fermentation (up to 35º) with hand plunging 3 times a day, then pressed off to French oak barriques to mature for 11 months. The wine has an intense nose of red berries, plums, cinnamon, pepper, apricot and vanilla aromas with a rich and savoury palate backed by a long fine grain tannin finish. This wine will cellar for 5-8 years. LERIDA ESTATE

  6. Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier 2019
    Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier 2019

It spent 18 months in oak, rather than it’s usual 12. Oak’s presence in the wine is no more than usual; if anything it simply feels more harmonious. To be released in March, I think.

In any case this is a wonderful release. It leaps from the glass with wonder on its lips. Plums and florals and spices and meats take a walk through a garden, woodsmoke suggested, summer alive. It’s elegant and refined and yet it’s all there, it’s all open. It gets you in the feels; it has a kind of satiny confidence, like it knows that it’s good and it knows that you’ve noticed. Fine fingers of tannin, curry leaf notes, berries. Florals here as mentioned but maybe not as pronounced as usual, as if viognier and shiraz have become one. Still there’s nothing reserved about this wine. Nothing. It’s just all there, ready, perfect. (96) CAMPBELL MATTINSON, The Wine Front
