  1. Nocturne SR Cabernets 2020
    Nocturne SR Cabernets 2020

72% Cabernet Sauvignon 15 % Merlot and 13% Malbec. Cabernet from the Sheoak vineyard in Yallingup, the other bits from the Simpson vineyard, mmmmm chocolaty.

Blackberry, blueberry, cherry pie with a spicy crust, polished cedar and menthol. Medium-bodied, dark chocolate and baking spice, dried herbs and black olive, supple tannin, a brine and nori savoury aspect, dense feel to it, though not heavy, and a silty tannin and baked raspberry finish of good length. Typical maritime feel of 2020 MR Cabernet here, and good drinking. GARY WALSH, The Wine Front

The 2016 Poitevin has a crisp, focused bouquet with pure blackberry and boysenberry notes tinged with crushed stone. 3. Mazeris Canon-Fronsac 2016
    Mazeris Canon-Fronsac 2016
Shows ripeness and power on the nose with ripe dark berries and volcanic salt. Full body, soft and rich tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Drink in 2022. (91) JAMES SUCKLING

One of the best things agbout the Bordeaux 2016 vintage was the stregth of the satellite appelations - this Canon Fronsac is a freat example - situated on the right bank but with a lot of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon you could easly see this as more left bak in style - it is everything a good claret should be dense dark with chewy tannis and cool clean fruit - absoultly delicous and a great price. 4. Chateau La Vieille Cure 2017- 375ml
Chateau La Vieille Cure 2017- 375ml

    Fronsac

74% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon.

An utterly delicious red with crushed berries, cappuccino and hints of black olives. Medium-bodied, compact and very soft. Really creamy texture. A blend of 75% merlot, 22% cabernet franc and 3% cabernet sauvignon. Hard not to drink now. So do it! JAMES SUCKLING

The 2017 La Vieille Cure is deep, fleshy and delicious. In 2017, La Vieille Cure is a bit less dense than it often is, but it still packs a pretty serious punch. Dark red cherry, plum, cinnamon, chocolate and floral notes shape this racy, inviting Fronsac. ANTONIO GALLONI

The 2017 Vieille Cure has a tightly-packed black cherry and cassis scented bouquet that feels as if it could be more intense once in bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with a candied, pastille-like opening: blackcurrant, crème de cassis and vanilla, lower in acidity than its Fronsac peers but smooth as silk towards the finish. 5. Moss Wood Ribbonvale Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Moss Wood Ribbonvale Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
With 2% each of merlot and cabernet franc. 27 months in French oak (16% new). We live in hallowed times: the '18 cabernets from Margaret River are being released into the wild ... there's never been a better time to be alive. Concentrated, fine, pedigree cabernet with explosive, low-down torque that drags the flavours over the palate into the interminably long finish. Epic. Will live as long as you do. Vray Croix de Gay 2013 375ml

This tiny estate’s (less than 12 acres) sensational terroir has never been fully exploited, but that will change now that the owner of Chateau Latour, Francois Pinault, has purchased an approximately 50% interest in Vray Croix de Gay. Made from a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the dark ruby-hued 2013 exhibits notes of black cherries, loamy soil and underbrush. Consume this medium-bodied effort during its first 4-5 years of life. ROBERT PARKER, 2014

  7. Haut Bailly II 2018
    Haut Bailly II 2018

18 Bottles available at the time of offer.

La Parde de Haut Bailly has been renamed as Haut Bailly II, while the third label rebranded as HB, an exciting period while they also undertake a major development of the cellar. These wines already over achieve and will suit buyers looking for early drinking form from a top-quality estate. 65% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. -Tom Portet

    Antonio Galloni                                        92
The 2018 Haut-Bailly II is a bomb. All of the richness of the year comes through in a wine that is bursting at the seams with fruit. Dark red cherry, tobacco, cedar, mint and licorice race out of the glass. Ripeness is decidedly pushed, and yet the 2018 remains poised and impeccably balanced. Silky tannins wrap around the plush, sensual finish.

    Andrew Caillard, MW                                 94
Medium deep colour. Very perfumed violet, cassis pure dark fruit aromas with hints of graphite. Lovely classic claret with mulberry inky fruits, five persistent graphite tannins and underlying savoury oak. Lovely freshness and vinosity. Despite the alcohol and tannin density there is lovely integration and softness.

    James Suckling                             93-94
Extremely fresh and aromatic with sliced berries and hints of orange peel. Medium-bodied yet dense and deep with ripe, firm tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows energy and vibe. Solid length. Formerly called La Parde de Haut-Bailly. Second wine.

    Langoa Barton 2006 375ml
The 2006 Château Langoa Barton has a lifted nose of small dark cherries, blackberry, incense and marmalade - quite showy for Langoa Barton - but there is joie-de-vivre here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, ripe and demonstrating impressive density plus a firm grip. This really coats the mouth in tannin, although it is still balanced. It just needs another 4-5 years in bottle. NEAL MARTIN

    Lisa Perrotti-Brown            93-95

  11. Belgrave 2016 1500ml
    Belgrave 2016 1500ml

    HAUT-MÉDOC 5th Growth Cru Classé

The 2016 Belgrave is a blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot and was picked from 28 September until 20 October. It has a generous bouquet with small dark cherries, blueberry and crushed violet aromas, quite Margaux-like in style. There is certainly good intensity here. The palate is medium-bodied with a supple opening: blackberry, mint and cedar. From the start there is fine tension and there is very impressive structure towards the finish, plus a long saline aftertaste. This is a very strong follow-up to the 2015 Belgrave and indeed, it may surpass it. (90-92) NEAL MARTIN

Ample and richly textured, the 2016 Belgrave is super expressive from start to finish. The exotic bouquet reveals graphite, herb, crushed flowers and a multitude of enticing inky fruit nuances. This powerful, overachieving Haut Médoc has quite a bit to offer. (89-91) ANTONIO GALLONI

    HAUT-MÉDOC - 5th Growth

The 2016 Camensac is an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, picked from 27 September until 18 October at 42 hectoliters per hectare. There is a pastille-like purity on the nose: blackberry, briary and a light floral note coming through with time. The quality of the vintage shows through on the palate, which is very harmonious and demonstrates both excellent backbone and intensity. It builds in the mouth, maintaining plenty of freshness and with a mineral-driven finish. This is an excellent Château de Camensac and fingers crossed it will represent great value in the market once released. (90-92) NEAL MARTIN

The 2018 La Dominique burst from the glass with an exotic mélange of ripe red fruit, blood orange, spice and cedar. La Dominique is a rich wine, but it also has enough energy and verve to balance things out. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. I especially admire the delineation and nuance in the 2018. This is such a gorgeous wine, especially with a bit of aeration.

The 2018 d'Issan is a potent, backward wine that is going to need a number of years to come into its own. Dark and brooding, with serious intensity, the 2018 shows off real depth in its blue/purplish fruit, chocolate, spice, smoke and leather flavors. The tannins are imposing today, but, then again, everything about the 2018 feels large in scale. I can't wait to see how the 2018 ages. 94 Antonio Galloni

  15. Cullen Diana Madeline 2010
    Cullen Diana Madeline 2010

    1 AVAILABLE
2010 DM makes a vital statement: its phenomenal predecessor was no fluke. At thirty-nine years of age and privileged to fanatical biodynamic care, the Cullen vineyard is in a remarkable place indeed. At a tantalising 13.0% alcohol, elegance meets the strictest definition. Utterly enticing, profoundly pure, effortlessly seamless and earth-shakingly long-lived. Margaret River graphite, high cocoa dark chocolate texture and gravelly tannins support pin-point exact violet and blackcurrant fruit. For the record, 77% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot, 6% petit verdot, 4% malbec and 3% cabernet franc – but such is its seamless coherence, you’d never know it was a blend. Diana would be proud. TYSON STELZER, Wine Taste Weekly

Confident with the quality of her biodynamically grown estate grapes, Vanya Cullen is taking a gently gently approach with all aspects of the wine. Thus it is medium-bodied at best, but is perfectly balanced and its array of blackcurrant, redcurrant, earth and spice fruit flavours are clearly varietal. Above all else, it is certain the wine will develop beautifully over the next 20-30 years.

Beautifully persistent and layered, Vray Croix de Gay is absolutely gorgeous. This is an especially nuanced, understated style.

Full-bodied and concentrated yet bursting with energy, it has a solid backbone of firm, rounded tannins and bags of freshness, finishing long.

  18. Duhart Milon 2018
    Duhart Milon 2018

Ten bottles avaliable at time of offer.

    Antonio Galloni 94
Just as it was from barrel, the 2018 Duhart-Milon is a real powerhouse. Black cherry, gravel, spice, espresso and savory herbs infuse the 2018 with notable depth and power. A brooding, virile wine, the Duhart-Milon packs a serious punch. I would give it a few years to soften. The 2018 has really come together since en primeur. In fact, the bottled wine bears little semblance to the en primeur sample, which is a very good thing. There is real density and weight here, with all of the natural richness of the year.

    James Suckling 95-96
This is a very powerful Duhart with blackcurrant and blackberry character. Lots of graphite and black tea. Full-bodied and muscular with lots of formed muscles and great length. Could be best ever?

    Andrew Caillard, MW 95
Deep colour. Very classical with pure blackcurrant pastille aromas and toasty vanilla notes. Medium powered but really well-balanced wine with pure blackcurrant cassis fruits, fine lacy graphite tannins and underlying mocha vanilla notes.

    Lisa Perotti Brown 93-95
Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of Black Forest cake, plum preserves and crème de cassis with hints of spice cake, woodsmoke, potpourri and eucalyptus. Full-bodied, rich and laden with layers of black fruit preserves and spices, it has a velvety texture and just enough freshness, finishing long. Very impressive-the densest, most opulent Duhart I have tasted!

  19. San Leonardo 2011
    San Leonardo 2011
The 2011 San Leonardo is extroverted and intense, leading off with a mix of crushed tart cherry and
blackberry, offset by a hint of citrus rind, as savory herbal and spice tones develop. It’s deep, dark and
textural, neatly displaying a warm vintage characteristic, framed by saline-minerality and zesty acids adding
verve. The expression further evolves over time, becoming more angular and structured than expected. A
tannic heft grips the senses, yet there’s plenty of primary fruit here to balance. The 2011 needs some more
time to unwind; yet once it does, watch out. As I’ve witnessed with warm, dry years from this house, the best
is yet to com. ERIC GUIDO, Vinous

  20. San Leonardo 2015
    San Leonardo 2015
The 2015 San Leonardo is a classic in the making. The bouquet is wonderfully perfumed with peppery florals,
mixing tart cherry and blueberry with white smoke, hints of graphite and shaved cedar. Silky textures race
across a core of juicy acids and minerals, making for a ripe yet cool-toned and pleasurably tactile expression.
Youthful tannins slowly make themselves known toward the close. Long, structured and spicy, the 2015
finishes with a crescendo of tart blue and black fruits, tapering off to notes of subtly sweet spice. As good as
this is today, it will only get better over time. That said, it doesn’t appear that this is going to shut down
anytime in the immediate future, so it’s certainly worth checking on a bottle or two before forgetting the rest
in your cellar. (95) ERIC GUIDO, Vinous

Wow. This really sends a tingle down my spine. Love the energy and length to this. Very distinguished. Full-bodied yet tight, polished and compressed. It has a great finish. Exciting. Really.

    93-96 points ANTONIO GALLONI
The 2018 TrotteVieille is a super-intriguing wine. Aromatically deep and layered, the 2018 offers tremendous depth and textural finesse. Mocha, grilled herbs, black cherry, new leather and spice all wrap around the palate in a dense, racy Saint-Émilion. The blend is 54% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.

91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Trotte Vieille leaps from the glass with vivacious scents of baked red plums, black raspberries and prunes with underlying scents of dried herbs, fallen leaves, dusty soil and tobacco. Full-bodied with a firm line of chewy tannins, it delivers a lot of stewed fruits on the mid-palate with a slightly warm finish.

A big, backward, full-bodied Pomerol, the 2000 Gazin appears to have added weight as well as structure. Still young, it exhibits beautiful notes of sandy, loamy soil intermixed with mulberries, black cherries, cedar, and licorice. Tightly wound, powerful, and rich, with noticeable oak, it needs another 3-5 years of bottle age, and should drink well for two decades. ROBERT PARKER

    James Suckling                             94-95
The gorgeous balance on the center palate makes this one of the best wines from here in years. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful yet subtle finish. Fine.

    Lisa Perrotti-Brown            89-91
Deep purple-black colored, the 2018 La Fleur de Gay delivers bold notions of baked plums, mulberries and blackberry preserves with touches of tar, bay leaves and truffles. Full-bodied and rich, with a plush texture, it has soft acid and a spicy finish.

    Antonio Galloni            86-88
The 2018 La Fleur de Gay is a fruity, supple Pomerol that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Dark cherry, mocha, cedar, tobacco, licorice and menthol add lovely aromatic nuance as this pretty, silky Pomerol develops in the glass.

    Clos l'Eglise 2016

    POMEROL - LIMITED

The 2016 Clos l'Eglise is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, and was the first to be picked by the Garçin-Léveque family (before Barde-Haut, d'Arce and Poesia). It has a high pH of 3.65 and it was matured in 100% new French oak. It has a very intense bouquet with macerated small black cherries, raspberry coulis, oyster shells and crushed violets, well defined and quite penetrating in style. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, layers of black fruit laced with black pepper and a touch of black pepper. There is a little chewiness to the texture towards the harmonious finish, which is one of the most primal that I have encountered in recent years. The barrel maturation will lend a little more sheen to this Pomerol--a long-term prospect that will deserve several years in bottle. (93-95) NEAL MARTIN

    James Suckling                             98-99
This is incredibly complex with hazelnut, currant, berry and dried-flower character. The impression of a vat of fermenting cabernet. Full body, round and juicy tannins and a long, soft and silky finish. Shows the essence of the fruit here. Fascinating. Layered and complex.

    Lisa Perrotti-Brown                      97-99
The very deep purple-black colored 2018 Smith Haut Lafitte is a little shy to begin. With coaxing, it very slowly unfurls to reveal a heart-stopping perfume of violets, red roses, kirsch, black cherries and redcurrant jelly, before giving way to a profound core of warm blackcurrants, blackberry preserves, molten licorice and cinnamon stick with nuances of dried mint, orange blossoms (yes!) and cloves. Full-bodied, the fruit does veritable pirouettes on your palate, both elegant and powerful in its expression, coating the mouth with densely packed red and black fruits while revealing tons of mineral, floral and savory sparks, framed by exquisitely fine-grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing very long.

    James Suckling                                   97-98
Incredible depth of fruit to this with a center palate that shows superb character and texture. I love the hazelnut and coffee-bean undertones to the beautiful fruit, which shows great finesse. Full-bodied yet compact and tight, giving a sense of agility and flight to the wine. Extremely tight and polished tannins.

    Lisa Perrotti-Brown            96-98
Deep purple-black in color, it opens slowly with profound notions of Black Forest cake, crème de cassis, roasted nuts and black olives, unfurling to reveal notions of menthol, crushed rocks, molten licorice and chargrilled meat plus a hint of lilacs. Full-bodied, rich and densely laden with layer upon layer of vibrant black fruits and mineral nuances, it has a solid backbone of firm, velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long with compelling restraint and exciting energy.

    Andrew Caillard, MW                                     97
Deep colour. Perfect claret style with intense blackcurrant plum graphite aromas with some savoury notes, fine graphite grainy tannins and underlying vanilla oak. Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
7 BOTTLES remin at time of offer

Nicolas Audebert and his team have done it again. The 2017 Canon is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage. Rich and vertical in construction, the 2017 possesses off-the-charts richness and intensity in all of its dimensions. In the glass, the 2017 is sumptuous and layered, with superb detail and tons of sheer pedigree. In 20 years, readers will have a fabulous time tasting the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 together and debating their respective merits. Dark plum fruit, striking Franc aromatics and the clean, focused energy of Saint-Émilion's limestone plateau make for a ravishing, exquisite wine of the highest level. In a word: breathtaking. (97) ANTONIO GALLONI

The 2017 Canon was bottled on 15 May, 2019. This needs time to settle in the glass, the oak rather vocal at this early stage and overshadowing the blackberry and briary aromas. It only takes a couple of minutes for this Saint-Émilion to settle and reveal more limestone-infused fruit that really shows its terroir. The palate is very well defined with crunchy black fruit. I appreciate the chalky texture and freshness of this Canon, almost brittle, with blackberry and brine-like notes on the finish. Whilst not up there with the superlative 2016, the follow-up is still very fine. Note that over multiple tasting this Canon improved between September and December. (95) NEAL MARTIN

  28. Chateau Certan de May 2000
    Chateau Certan de May 2000
One of my favorite estates, Certain de May has rebounded powerfully after several undistinguished performances in the late nineties. The 2000's deep ruby/purple color is followed by scents of overripe tomatoes, blackberries, plums, underbrush, and a Rhone-like garrigue character. This successful, but surprisingly atypical 2000 is fat, fleshy, and soft, with low acidity and a corpulent personality. Flavors of new saddle leather, ketchup, and roasted meats intermingle in an exotic, spicy style. ROBERT PARKER
