  1. Correggia Barbera Bricco Marun 2017
    Correggia Barbera Bricco Marun 2017

This is a classy single vineyard barbera. From 45-65 year old densely planted vines, the Marun was the brainchild of Matteo Correggia. He sourced fruit from sandy soils at the top of the hill with a sunny exposition and good air flow to stifle vine disease.

Heady and jubilant aromas welcome you in to a core of velvety richness. Dark chocolate, black berries and licorice ebb and flow, rounding out the mouth with a very smooth delivery. This is a pedigreed wine where everything just seems to fall into place as the wine unfolds. This is hard to resist in its youth, though it will age beautifully for a few years. GABRIELLE POY, PWS

  3. Chateau Montravel Rouge (Merlot) 2017
    Chateau Montravel Rouge (Merlot) 2017

This is 100% merlot from a 1.5 hectare vineyard located in Montravel, a sub-region of Bergerac.
The grapes are hand harvested in small lug boxes, in the cellar the bunches are destemmed and the fruits selected one by one by hand. The must is then macerated in micro oxygenated tanks, pump over every six hours, alcoholic and malolactic fermentations done in temperature controlled tanks. Aged for fourteen months on fine lees in 1/3 new and 2/3 one year old oak barrels.

This is terrific Merlot - there is even greater vibrancy and verve to the 2017 then the 2016. the fruit is pure and ripe with fresh picked plum and red cherry fruit. Some classy oak wraps gently around some pretty and lifted violet notes. and red fruits. This has plenty of fleshy fruit but in a compact and vibrant frame. There aint much merlo like this in Aus. PWS

  4. Petilia APE Fiano d'Avellino 2016
    Petilia APE Fiano d'Avellino 2016
This comes from Chianche in Montefalcione. Destemmed and fermented on the skins at a very low temperature with 6 months on fine lees. It offers a myriad of sensations with hints of white flowers, pear, the unmistakable touch of toasted hazelnut. There is some nice phenolic grip on the palate from the time on skins and the rich fruit is kept in check finishing on a racy note.

    Ogier La Rosine Syrah 2017
Deep violet. Assertive, spice-accented red and blue fruit aromas are complemented by building spice and floral accents. Juicy and seamless in texture, offering palate-caressing raspberry, mulberry and violet pastille flavors given a spicy edge by a jolt of cracked pepper.
