What’s not to love about Italy? The art, the culture, the people, the food and of course, the wine!

Home to over 2000 varieties stretching across every region, this is the most diverse albeit sometimes confusing wine country in the world. The last 40 years has seen a transformation from quantity to quality production and Italian wine is now retaking its rightful place as one of the world’s wine powers.

This course will help you unravel the sometimes confusing but always exciting world of Italian wine. Using benchmark examples from the main regions alongside complementary dishes from the Bellota kitchen we will take you on a Giro d’Italia, drawing back the curtain on the main styles and varieties. By course end, you’ll have the ability to navigate the list at your local (or in Italy) decent Italian restaurant and provide the stimulus to keep on learning about the wines from the most fascinating wine country on the planet!
