The generic and village wines are elegant and stylish, while the 1er and Grands Crus are splendidly concentrated and opulent, yet beautifully proportioned and never overbearing. They are some of the most sought-after wines from Puligny and are models of intensity and balance. JASPER MORRIS MW

The wines of Etienne Sauzet remain as much a reference point today as they were in the past. While time sees all things change, eventually, this domaine remains steadfast in its production of some of Puligny’s greatest examples. They are the epitome of what makes great white Burgundy from this commune, intense, rich, powerfully built but also with an abundance of minerality and a solid backbone of acidity which results in wines of serious drive and energy. Few estates cab boast their track record of both quality and longevity. ROSCOE
