Young Gun of Wine 2018 Top 12

Ricky is exploring sub-regionality of Tasmania with small parcels of fruit, particularly in the Tamar where he grew up. Last year, he won the Young Gun of Wine People’s Choice trophy. His 2016 Dog & Wolf Pinot Noir brings together different winemaking techniques in an exceptionally well-executed manner to make a very intriguing wine.

Two Tonne Tasmania
Two tonne tasmania began in early 2013 when a young local winemaker, ricky evans, managed to nudge into the tightly held tamar valley. An opportunity arose, and he grasped it, ttt began, yes, with a couple of tonne of pinot noir. A simple and literal name, a reference and reminder of what this project is all about;
Small parcels | big love.
The ttt style is purposeful, with the aim to facilitate a situation where intervention is not necessary. We believe that with care and attention in the vineyard, and precise harvest decisions, we are most of the way to achieving our style. The rest is nurturing
