Wednesday 24th August @ Bellota FROM 6.30pm After three years and three false starts we're ecstatic to say Festa del Barolo is on in 2022!!! Over the last few years, one of the most frequently asked questions (in those brief windows of no lockdown) was, "will you being doing a Festa dinner this year". Each year we'd planned dinners and each year we'd canceled dinners, so it's with some relief and excitement that we can once again provide a setting to celebrate Barolo. As usual, we will take over the entire restaurant at Bellota for the night. Our format will be more or less the same with a couple of small changes. It's a celebration of this unique, small and remarkable region in Italy's northwest which is the spiritual home to one of the world's great grape varieties, nebbiolo and its pinnacle expression in the wines of Barolo. The dinner will start slow with a bracket of Langhe Nebbiolo before ramping up for two brackets worth of Barolo from a selection of the region's greatest producers. We'll traverse the communes and the stylistic differences, along the way learning a little about these amazing wines. Nicky Riemer has put together a superb menu for the evening.
