Tenuta Aglaea farm a handful of the greatest sites on the side of Mt Etna. While the red Nerello Mascalese is their main focus, they make a tiny amount of white wine from the fabled Contrada di Santo Spirito approximately 800 metres above sea level.

The wine is a field blend of Catarratto, Carricante, Inzolia, Minella, Greganico. It combines the race and energy of the Carricante and layers in texture in the mid palate via the other varieties before cleaning up on the back end. The touchstone here is citrus, slaine and mineral. It's hard to stop dirnking and is perfect with a plate of seafood or fatty salami. PWS
