Dirty Three Wines

The three people in question are winemaker Marcus Satchell, sales and marketer Cameron Mackenzie, and PR livewire Stuart Gregor. Each has a real-life job, this simply representing a bit of (serious) fun. They have acquired a 4ha vineyard planted in 1998 to 3.1ha of pinot noir, and a total of 0.9ha of riesling and chardonnay. Despite the somewhat flippant name this is a very serious venture with a few of the trade’s notable figured involved. They seem to be firing on all cylinders as well with a steady stream of cracking wines being released. Fruit comes from their vineyard in Gippsland’s vinous heart, Leongatha South, where some of this country’s more prominent expressions of Pinot have come from over the years.
