It’s no doubt we are spoilt for choice these days with the wine coming out of Spain. Not only from a plethora of well-established and internationally recognised producers but thankfully a number of smaller growers, young winemakers, and producers that are changing the landscape of both Spanish wines.
We have become familiar with wines from Rioja and varieties like albarino and garnacha which are now firmly planted in our wine drinking vernacular. But Spain also offers up varieties like bobal and wines like Txakoli making it an even more exciting prospect.
Some winemakers are bucking trends while others are re-invigorating and re-vitalising old traditions and ways of thinking.
This year's pack is a selection of classic wines from classic regions with a few curve balls thrown in to keep things interesting.
