Dominique Piron's oldest known ancestor was born in Morgon in 1590. Since then, there have been 14 generations of winegrowers in the family. His own wine knowhow dates back 40 years.

His philosophy revolves around sustainable winegrowing, observing the watchwords of natural balance and biodiversity as he works land strewn with broken-down granite and schist.

The vines for Piron's Beaujolais-Villages surround the crus on the hills of the northern half of Beaujolais. These vines at 50 years old on average are all harvested by hand and de-stemmed.

Nice spice and lift with that mixture of fresh turned, dark earth wild berry that is so enticing. Juicy and bright with soft plush red berried fruits but with gently pliant tannins and fresh acidity given the warm vintage that holds this together nicely. PWS
