A new wine in the range, the 2012 Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs Les Longues Voyes 1er Cru is soft, open-knit and appealing. Orange peel, lightly honeyed notes, chamomile, hazelnut and red Pinot fruit are all laced together nicely. Overall, the Longues Voyes is a distinctly understated wine. The volatile acidity is a touch elevated, while the wine lacks the depth and overall persistence of the more complete wines in the range. The Longues Voyes is fermented in barrel and also sees an élevage of 19 months in oak, which is on the long side and may ultimately contribute to the wine's slightly hollow mid-palate feel. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: December 2015. ANTONIO GALLONI, www.vinous.com
