Sitting at the southern end of the Médoc, right on Bordeaux's doorstep, Cantmerle was seriously reduced in volume due to the late Spring hail. It typically presents with balance and is an excellent starting price point to the wines of Médoc. -Tom Portet

A rich and layered young Bordeaux with a solid center palate of ripe fruit and coated with ripe and polished tannins. Tightly wound ball now. Pretty texture and length to this.

Classical claret blackcurrant herb garden and aniseed. Lovely medium powered wine with redcurrant cassis flavour, persistent loose knit fine-grained tannins. Really well-managed wine with impressive balance and integrity.
