 If for some reason you're tempted to try a bottle in the next year I would strongly suggest that this be decanted for 30 minutes first. Otherwise there is excellent intensity, muscle and power to the concentrated, mineral-driven and broad-shouldered flavors that already display superb complexity and simply huge length. At the same time this is presently very tight and the austerity of the linear finish confirms that this is very likely to require 12 to 15 years to realize its full potential. BURGHOUND 

Healthy bright yellow. Aromas of apple, smoky minerals, white pepper and resin. Hugely rich and dense yet at the same time dry and weightless, with a vanillin oak component that has not yet harmonized with the wine's fruit. This pure, complete, large-scaled Montrachet is very reserved today. STEPHEN TANZER
