Clos Clare / Clare Valley / Australia / Riesling / 2015

Touch of fenugreek-like stink, apple, sweet herbs, tangelo, peach and grapefruit. Big burst of flavour, juicy with grapefruit, but dry and gently chalky too. Has some citrus peel bitterness on the finish, almost like Chinotto, or similar. No shortage of personality. It's a bit rugged, but very entertaining. GARY WALSH The Wine Front
