The 2010 Arbois Vin Jaune is the regular bottling (they sometimes make a special separate cuvée they call Medaille d'Argent) that was going to be bottled the following week, so I was able to taste it, because many in Jura are very reluctant to taste Vin Jaune from barrel, as the veil of yeasts is normally very thin and they don't want to break it or even disturb it. It has great freshness, complexity length and nuance, with plenty of nutty aromas, a rounder palate with great volume. It has a bright golden color that names the style of wine and a very tasty palate, with even some honeyed notes. This is a great traditional Vin Jaune. Bravo! They do not make Vin Jaune all the vintages: for instance, they didn't bottle it in 2008. (95-96) WINE ADVOCATE
