Zind Humbrecht is one of the unquestioned kings of aromatic whites. His ceaseless drive to create the worlds greatest examples of his varieties is nothing short of remarkable as are the resulting offerings. A devoted proponent of Biodynamics, a gifted presenter and communicator and a towering figure of modern wine, the first Frenchman to be awarded the MW (International Master of Wine) he has justifiably earned his reputation as one of legends of modern wine.

The Tuckheim Range is the value tier and represents classic Alsace whites from a regional blend of grapes as well as estate fruit. PWS

From three parcels of vines, the oldest of which was planted in 1947 by Olivier Humbrecht's maternal grandfather, on heavier loess soils. According to Olivier Humbrecht, in good vintages the wine made from those grapes has a remarkable vibrancy and tension uncharacteristic of gravel soils. IAN D'AGATA, www.vinousmedia.com

Dry, easy drinking Riesling. Citrus and washed stone minerality runs through the aromatic and the palate profile providing nice tension and vigour. Some texture hints at the origins. Lovely stuff. Very pure. Does what it says on the tin and then some. PWS
