Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Widely regarded as one of the best wineries in the region, producing glorious Chardonnay, power-laden Semillon and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon that lives for decades. Moss Wood also owns the RibbonVale Estate, the wines treated as vineyard-designated within the Moss Wood umbrella JAMES HALLIDAY

This time last year I was prepping the 2016 Moss Wood Cabernet offer and reminiscing on how great it is to visit this iconic, humble and most importantly outstanding Australian winery.  This memory seems even more poignant writing about their 2017 vintage.

To be frank, there’s not much to add to the usually glowing and deserved fanfare surrounding this wine.  Moss Wood remain a benchmark of the Margaret River, their flag ship Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the best vineyards on the 11 hectare Wilyabrup estate, the first of which were planted in 1969.   As a vintage 2017 provided a cooler and later harvest which the owners liken to the 1990 which was a little reticent in on opening but performed exceptionally well if given the time to unfurl. This should reward generously over the years.

There are presently no reviews, which never stops this wine from selling quickly as the wines rarely disappoint.

Please note that this wine is not released until the 4th of May and that your order will be sent as soon as possible after.
