The 2020 Chianti Classico La Misse di Candialle is bright, bold and bursting with energy. Sweet red Sangiovese fruit, spice, mint, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco are all beautifully delineated in a Chianti Classico that bristles with vibrancy. The 2020 is exquisite. With fruit from beautiful Panzano in Chianti, the Candialle 2020 Chianti Classico La Misse is 94% Sangiovese, 3% Canaiolo and 3% Malvasia Nera. Winemaking is very simple, in cement only, and the fruit is organic. This displays ripe cherry, soft raspberry and perfumed blue flower, and thanks to schistous galestro soils, there is a pretty mineral element as well. MONICA LARNER, wineadvocate.com
