Francesco Versio

Francesco Versio is one of the more exciting new producers to emerge from the Barbaresco forment in some time. Armed with plots in two of the more highly regarded crus of Curra and San Cristoforo and a prodigious talent (witnessed by his day job as Bruno Giacos as head winemaker) this is a young man to follow. In 2013 he released his first wines using his own fruit and the facilities at the local cooperative. As one might expect his style reflects the influence of his great mentor Dante Scaglione (longtime Giacosa winemaker) and the wines fall into the classic mould. PWS
