Marion's Vineyard

Cynthea was born into in a wine-making, wine-drinking family – for generations, her mother’s ancestors grew grapes in the harsh limestone slopes of Cyprus, while her father started the first San Francisco County wine appreciation society in the early 70s. In 1979, her parents moved to Tasmania to establish Marion’s Vineyard.
An early ’90s marketing graduate of Roseworthy Ag College in the Barossa, Cynthea quickly discovered that wine could take you to the coolest parts of the world when she undertook vintages in Napa Valley, Santa Barbara, Chile, France and Oregon. She also managed a winemaking degree at Charles Sturt University along the way. She began winemaking under the Hardys umbrella at Tintara and Leasingham before being bitten by the Bio-Dynamic bug, which led her to jump corporate ship. She then had a stint doing wine education for cellar doors and at the National Wine Institute.
Cynthea moved back to the family vineyard in 2010 with her winemaker husband David Feldheim and two sons Solomon and Aristotle. She is currently making sustainable wines for Marion’s Vineyard as well as for her own Beautiful Isle Wines and Oenone labels. YGOW
