Rudi Bauer is one of the most experienced and serious winemakers in Central Otago. Sighting the aspect and recognising the soils of what is now the Quartz Reef Bendigo Estate Vineyard, Rudi knew that this site was unique and that exceptional wines would be made from fruit grown there. His wines are seriously sophisticated and designed for the long haul, the Pinot Noirs in particular possessing the structure that few other Central Otago wines share.
